Jenny Mitchell works closely with not-for-profit leaders to change the world – one mission at a time. Jenny assists clients, across Canada and the U.S., to inspire their donors and achieve their fundraising goals through personalized fundraising coaching and training.

Trained as a classical musician, Jenny Mitchell brings her creative approach to the world of not-for-profits. In fact, Jenny discovered her love of fundraising by raising money for new pianos at her Conservatory’s concert hall!

A sought-after speaker and facilitator, Jenny has recently presented for Convene Canada (Association of Health Care Professionals), Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Congress in Toronto, the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) National Conference and the Greater Florida Association of Fundraising Professional’s annual conference, Planet Philanthropy.

In her role as a fundraising consultant, Jenny has led Capital Campaigns, Revenue Generation Plans, Feasibility Studies, and Board training sessions. She has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for her clients with a donor-centred approach to raising money. Jenny is passionate about bringing her knowledge of fundraising fundamentals to organizations across North America through her online Fundraising Mastermind Courses.

A representative list of clients includes the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Research Foundation, McMichael Canadian Art Collection, CODE International, VON Canada, Motivate Canada, Perimeter Institute, Queen’s University, Ottawa Network for Education, Dress for Success Ottawa, Canadian Cycling Association, Journalists Human Rights, Daybreak Non-profit Housing Corporation, Forum for Young Canadians, Jeunesses Musicales Ontario, Halton Learning Foundation, Catholic Christian Outreach, Ottawa Therapy Dogs, and the Diefenbunker Museum.

Jenny is currently board chair of the Ottawa Tennis and Lawn Bowling Club (OTLBC), one of the oldest tennis clubs in Canada. She is a volunteer and member of both of her professional associations: the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP).

Before completing her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2015, Jenny trained as a classical musician and earned her Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA). She brings her creative approach, her drive for excellence, and her passion for people to the world of not-for-profits.
